Beekeeping is a fantastic opportunity for poor people to generate income, as it needs no land and has low start-up costs. Jabiri Nassoro has been beekeeping for nearly 20 years, and the support he has received through Traidcraft’s project in Tanzania has helped to increase his income from his honey business. This has made a huge difference to his family. “My life is becoming better because of the bees. I can eat better food. My family have better clothing. I am now planning to change the house to have corrugated iron sheets for the roof.”
